In this video I unbox, review and road test the Orange Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL. I also figured out how to drive on 2 wheels on my first bash session. Looks like this vehicle is gonna be a lot of fun!
One other thing I'll mention is that even though this is the HGC body version it doesn't do well in the grass at all. This is mainly because the stock tires don't have very deep treads. My first two upgrades will probably be Tires and Shocks.

In this video I do my 5 week review of the Traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL, discuss my most broken parts and do a complete teardown and rebuild using upgraded parts.
This video also covers front and rear diff maintenance. I use a mix of hi-temp bearing grease along with a touch of 30w oil to give it a bit of liquidity which keeps the grease from sticking to the housing and keeps the diff gears properly lubed.
